VICAR FAILS TO SAVE TUDELEY
On Wednesday, a cricket match was played at Tudeley between teams selected by Mr John Young, of Tunbridge Wells and Mr Horace Young, of Tudeley. The visitors won by 27 runs, notwithstanding that the home team had the services of the Rev. G. L. Lachlan, the Vicar.
At the conclusion of the match, an adjournment was made to the Carpenters' Arms, where host T. Bowles had provided one of his capital spreads.
The Rev. Lachlan presided, supported by lnspector Greenwood, of Tunbridge Wells who captained the visitors.
